Preface:
*************************
Welcome to the Freelancer Universe (FLU) Addon Mod for Freelancer HD Edition (FLHDE)! This mod is designed to be a Multiplayer only experience leveraging FLHDE as it's base. It is compatible with version 0.7 of Freelancer HD Edition and requires the Freelancer Mod Manager 2.0e (FLMM) for activation. Both can be found by following the links below:
- FLHDE 0.7: https://www.moddb.com/mods/freelancer-hd-edition/downloads/freelancer-hd-edition-v07
- FLMM 2.0e: (Primary) https://www.moddb.com/games/freelancer/downloads/freelancer-mod-manager-20e (Alternate, will need to search for FLMM 2.0e) https://the-starport.com/forums/downloads#

Installation Instructions:
*************************
1. Install FLHDE from the installer you downloaded. This will install the game to your hard drive.

2. Ensure all mods that are active are deactivated in FLMM. If you have any mods active, deactivate them before proceeding. This is important to avoid conflicts with the FLUAddon Mod.

3. Point FLMM to the directory where you installed FLHDE. This is usually C:\Games\Freelancer HD Edition. You can do this by launching FLMM and selecting 'Options' from the menu, then 'Choose a Different Freelancer Directory'. Browse to the directory where you installed FLHDE and select it.

4. Once completed, FLU Addon Mod should be ready for activation.

Activation Instructions:

5. When FLMM loads, double-click on the "FLUAddon Mod Client v1.86 FLHDE 0.7 10Jul25" and choose which options you wish to apply. Your choices are:
Option 1). Will You Be Flying Capships? Choose 'Yes' if you are planning on flying any of the big ships such as the Transport, Large Transport, any capships, etc. Doing so will disable the ability to switch out the engines on your fighter or freighter. This option is disabled by default.

Option 2). Change Jumphole Colors? Choosing yes will change the jump tunnels from the vanilla blue/white to different colors depending on what sector of Sirius space you're jumping to. It's just eye candy and is enabled by default. If you do NOT wish the change you'll have to select 'No'.

6. Select OK on the bottm right, wait for the progress bar to finish, and then launch FLHDE through your desktop shortcut.
	a) If FLMM throws an error, it'll show in the log box. To copy the log output, right click in the box, click Select All, then right click again in the box and select Copy. Go to our Discord and paste the output in #technical-issues (https://discord.com/channels/726870008222973982/727285078153232454)

7. Jump onto the Freelancer Universe server and see you in space, freelancer.
